Reservations

Call Disney Dining at 714-781-3463, your name and essential information are taken as if you were making a reservation. The Disney representative then tells you that you have a dining reservation for the restaurant on the date and time you requested.  You can also book reservations online.

A credit card guarantee is required for all reservations; a $10 per person fee will be charged if you don't show up.

Disneyland's dining reservation is simple to navigate.  Except on the busiest days, most restaurants in the parks and hotels offer same-day availability.

If you want to patronize any of the Disneyland Resort full-service restaurants, especially buffets or character-dining eateries, you should consider dining reservations (call 714-781-3463 or go online up to 60 days in advance).

If you have a seating for a theme park restaurant at a time before park opening, as is sometimes the case for a character breakfast, simply proceed to the turnstiles and inform a cast member, who will admit you to the park.

Character Dining

“Character meals” are dining experiences in which Disney characters meet and greet guests in the restaurant. Disney pals generally travel from table to table, stopping to interact with each party for a hug, photo, autograph, or possibly a conversation.  This is a great way to get up close with some of your favorite Disney characters.

The following character dining locations have returned to normal operation! That means you can take close pictures, high five, and hug your favorite Disney characters.

The current character dining options are…

  • Minnie and Friends- Breakfast in the park - located at the Plaza Inn on Main Street

    • In addition to Minnie Mouse, you can expect to see Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Chip and Dale, and some of the mice from Cinderella(Suzy and Perla). Occasionally, Captain Hook, the fairy Godmother. or Pinnochio

  • Mickey’s Tales of Adventure Breakfast Buffet - located at the Storyteller’s Cafe inside Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel

    • Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Pluto, Chip, and Dale

  • Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures - located at the Napa Rose inside Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel

    • Many of your favorite princesses

  • Goofy’s Kitchen- located inside the Disneyland Hotel

    • Goofy Chip & Dale, Minnie, and Pluto

Disneyland & Outside Food & Drinks

I'm pleased to tell you that guests are ALLOWED to bring outside food and nonalcoholic beverage items into the park for self-consumption, provided they are NOT in glass containers and do not require heating, reheating, processing, refrigeration or temperature control and do not have pungent odors.

Loose ice & dry ice is also NOT permitted in the theme parks, so be sure to pack either reusable ice packs or ice in a sealed bag to keep your perishable items nice and cool.  We like to freeze a couple water bottles to act as ice packs and then have water bottles at the end of the day that are still ice cold.

While there does not appear to be size limitations for personal coolers within the Disneyland hotel rooms, there are restrictions when it comes to the theme parks and water parks.  Suitcases, bags, coolers or backpacks, with or without wheels, larger than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high (61 cm x 38 cm x 46 cm) are NOT allowed in any theme park or water park.
